By car, you can reach Mühlhausen via the B 247 coming from Erfurt. If you are traveling to Mühlhausen from Eschwege or Sondershausen, take the B 249. The Blobach, the parking garage of the Thüringentherme (Brunnenstraße entrance) and the Untermarkt all offer parking facilities in the town center. We recommend coaches to use the Blobach. The museums are just a few minutes’ walk from the above-mentioned parking facilities. The tourist guidance system will assist you on your way and in finding other sights in the city. Bicycle parking spaces are available at all museums for cyclists
By rail, Mühlhausen can be reached via the nearest ICE train stations in Göttingen, Erfurt and Eisenach. From here, you can take the regional express train to the medieval imperial city’s railway station in around an hour. The museums can be reached on foot in around 20 minutes. The tourist guidance system will assist you on your way and in finding other sights in the city. Bicycle parking spaces are available for cyclists both at the railway station and at all the museums.
